Children Device Issues

Parent face many significant challenges managing their children and the various products and services they use and consume.

These issues range from device usage, food & services purchasing and consumption, media & gaming use, and website/communications, and more.

Device Usage

Parents face significant challenges managing their children's device usage in today's world, here are just a few of the issues:

Children often have access to various devices (phones, tablets, gaming systems, computers) that each require different parental control systems

Current parental controls are often confusing to set up and easily circumvented, with many platforms designed to maximize screen time rather than limit it

Removing devices from children frequently leads to confrontational situations and family conflict

What are children consuming on-line. We have to grab their phone to see what they are viewing, or here who they are communicating with.

Media & Gaming Issues

There is all types of various content that children view without regulation.

Currently, this includes not only the lack of age restrictions on the internet, but also various content categories that parents might not want their children watching or listening. For example, gangster rap, or over gory movies. Today, we can't even restrict a single song in which our children are prohibited to listen to across their devices.

This includes video games also, which have been a pain for parents to manage which category they can play on, or age restrictions.

I go into local facilities that allow Jukeboxes to play music of any type that is not appropriate for public or children consumption for that matter.

Now, even worse, we have AI to contend with that can provide all type of imagery, video, music and information not suitable for children.

Website & Communication Issues

Our children are able to navigate to any website which can have content that is not appropriate for their age, or information that can get them in all kinds of trouble.

Children can log into any website, and communicate with anyone in the world.

Parents not only don't know who our children are communications with but what is being communicated, where they are from, their age or anything.

Even if parents did know who their kids were talking to and wanted to block someone its impossible.

Where exactly are our children?

There are many tracking apps in the market place, but they never tell me exactly what business my child was in, and for how long.

If they are at someones house, what is the address so I can go visit or pick them up, or send a message to the owner of the house to their general mail.
