Occupancy Agency - Approval Process

The approval phases includes a pre-permit, build-out, and final approval.

The By-Law Industry Approval Services provide all the phases, check-lists and agencies to approve an Occupancy Permit based on the following sources:

  • Parcel Related Agencies
  • Website Type Related Agencies
  • Operational Specifications Related Agencies

All approvals must be logged at the Occupancy Agency, and submitted back to the By-Law Industry Approval Service ensure the approvals were done.

Parcel Released Agencies

When parcels are initially developed, or when construction occurs on an existing parcel agency approval requirements are defined and accessed by the By-Law Industry Approval Service.

Website type related agencies are received from the NITS via the By-Law -Industry Approval Services.

Operational Specifications

Operational Specifications related agencies are received from the NITS via the By-Law -Industry Approval Services.

Special Agency Requirements

Once the various agencies have been provided, the agent can add additional agencies at their discretion for special cases.

Any time agencies are added they must be reported to the correct agency so they are registered properly for further approvals, or noted for the agency addition.

Occupancy Permit Issuance

Once all agencies complete their phases and check-lists and the owner(s) complete their required information the Occupancy Permit is approved, and stored at the Occupancy Agency.
